Troubleshooting
Something not working as expected? Start with the problem you're seeing below.
Setting up SAVR for the first time?
It may be quicker to follow the Setup Guide before troubleshooting.
Sensor Not Showing
My sensor isn't showing a pressure reading
Work through these checks in order.
A SAVR sensor needs to be screwed onto a pressurised tyre valve before it can begin sending a pressure reading.
Screw the sensor onto the valve by hand until it is snug. Do not use a tool to tighten the sensor itself.
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone settings.
Make sure the SAVR app has permission to use Bluetooth.
Open Profiles and make sure the vehicle containing that sensor is set to Active.
If the sensor still doesn't show a reading, contact SAVR Support and we'll help you work through it.
Contact SAVR SupportOne sensor works but another doesn't
If some sensors are working normally, your phone and app are generally communicating correctly.
Check the sensor that isn't working:
- Confirm it is fitted to the wheel position shown in the app.
- Check that it is screwed fully onto the valve by hand.
- Confirm the correct sensor has been assigned to that wheel position.
If the wrong sensor has been assigned, use Scan Pair to assign the correct sensor.
The sensor shows as paired but there's no pressure
Pairing tells SAVR which sensor belongs to that wheel position. A pressure reading begins once the sensor is fitted to the tyre valve and wakes up.
Check that the sensor is fitted securely to the corresponding wheel.
If it is fitted but still isn't showing pressure, check Bluetooth and SAVR's Bluetooth permission before contacting Support.
Pairing Problems
One-Click Pairing isn't working
One-Click Pairing is designed for complete SAVR 2 Sensor Packs and 4 Sensor Packs.
Check that:
- You are using the pairing QR code supplied with that sensor pack.
- The entire QR code is visible to your phone camera.
- There is enough light for the camera to clearly see the code.
- The camera lens is clean.
If you are adding or replacing an individual sensor, use Scan Pair instead.
The app won't scan the pairing QR code
Try these quick checks:
- Move the QR code into better lighting.
- Hold the phone steady.
- Move the phone slightly further away from the code.
- Make sure the entire QR code is visible on screen.
- Check that SAVR has permission to use your phone camera.
I don't have my One-Click Pairing QR code
Contact SAVR Support and let us know which sensor pack you have.
Contact SAVR SupportI paired the wrong sensor to a wheel
That's fixable.
Go to the relevant wheel position and use Scan Pair to scan the correct sensor barcode.
Then make sure that sensor is fitted to the same wheel position shown in the app.
I'm adding a replacement sensor
Use Scan Pair rather than One-Click Pairing.
Select the wheel position for the replacement sensor, choose Scan Pair and scan the barcode on the new sensor.
Profiles & Wheels
My vehicle isn't showing on the Dashboard
Open Profiles and check that the vehicle is set to Active.
Only active profiles are shown on your Dashboard.
My caravan isn't showing with my tow vehicle
Your tow vehicle and caravan should be saved as separate profiles.
Open Profiles and make sure both are Active.
SAVR will then bring the wheels from both active profiles together on your Dashboard.
I can see my caravan when I'm not towing
Open Profiles and make your caravan or trailer profile inactive.
The profile remains saved, including its sensors and settings, but its wheels will no longer appear on the Dashboard.
Some of my wheels are missing from the Dashboard
First check which profiles are Active.
Then open the relevant profile and confirm the vehicle has been set up with the correct number of monitored wheel positions.
Also check that a sensor has been assigned to each wheel you want SAVR to monitor.
Bluetooth & Permissions
SAVR says Bluetooth isn't available
Check that Bluetooth is switched on in your phone settings.
You should also check that SAVR has permission to use Bluetooth.
Important: You don't need to pair SAVR sensors through your phone's normal Bluetooth device list.
Sensors are added from inside the SAVR app.
I accidentally denied Bluetooth permission
Open your phone's settings, find SAVR and enable Bluetooth permission.
Return to the SAVR app once permission has been enabled.
The QR scanner can't access my camera
SAVR needs camera permission to scan pairing QR codes and sensor barcodes.
Open your phone settings, find SAVR and allow camera access.
Why does SAVR need notification permission?
Notifications allow SAVR to alert you when tyre information needs your attention.
We recommend enabling notifications so important alerts aren't missed.
Sensor Fitting Problems
Air escapes when I screw the sensor on
A brief release of air while the sensor is being fitted can be normal.
Continue screwing the sensor on by hand until it is snug.
If air continues escaping after the sensor is fitted, remove the sensor and check the installation before driving.
If you're unsure, contact SAVR Support.
My sensor feels loose
Screw the sensor onto the valve stem by hand until snug.
Then hold the sensor firmly and tighten the anti-theft nut back against the sensor using the supplied tool.
Do not use a tool to tighten the sensor itself.
How tight should the anti-theft nut be?
The anti-theft nut should be tightened back against the sensor firmly enough to secure it.
Hold the sensor in place while tightening the nut with the supplied tool.
I can't remove the sensor
If the anti-theft nut is fitted, loosen it away from the sensor using the supplied tool first.
Then unscrew the sensor from the tyre valve by hand.
Pressure Readings
The pressure shown in SAVR is different from my tyre gauge
Small differences can occur between different pressure measuring devices.
Also make sure you're comparing readings under the same conditions, as tyre pressure changes as tyres warm up.
If the difference appears significant or you're unsure which reading is correct, check the tyre with a reliable pressure gauge or tyre professional before driving.
My tyre pressure rises while I'm driving
This is normally expected.
Tyres warm as you drive. As the air inside the tyre gets warmer, the pressure generally increases.
SAVR lets you see those changes while you're travelling.
Which tyre pressure should I set?
SAVR monitors your tyres but doesn't determine the correct pressure for your particular vehicle or tyre.
Follow the pressure recommendations from your vehicle, caravan, trailer or tyre manufacturer.
If you're unsure, speak with your tyre professional.
