What is Safety Sam?

Is Safety Sam difficult to use?

No. It’s designed to be straightforward. Fit the sensors, connect the app, set your pressure ranges, and drive. Once set up, it runs quietly in the background.

Installation & setup
How are the sensors installed?

The sensors screw onto standard tyre valve stems. No wiring, drilling or permanent modifications are required.
How long does installation take?

Most people have the system installed and connected in just a few minutes.
Do I need professional installation?

No. Safety Sam is designed to be installed by the user without specialist tools.

Compatibility
Will Safety Sam work with my vehicle?

If your vehicle uses standard Schrader valve stems and you have a smartphone, Safety Sam is likely compatible. It works with most cars, SUVs, 4WDs, caravans and trailers.
Is Safety Sam suitable for towing and caravans?

Yes. Monitoring tyre pressure and temperature is especially valuable when towing or carrying load, where small changes can have a bigger impact.
Can I monitor more than one vehicle?

Yes. The app allows you to set up and monitor multiple vehicles, such as your own car, a caravan, or a family member’s vehicle, all from the same phone.

How do alerts work?

If a tyre moves outside your chosen pressure or temperature range, the app highlights the specific tyre and provides an audible warning so you know exactly which tyre needs attention.
Are alerts loud or distracting?

Alerts are designed to inform, not distract. They’re clear and tyre-specific, helping you respond quickly without unnecessary noise.
Can I customise alert thresholds?

Yes. You can set pressure and temperature ranges in the app to suit your vehicle, load and driving conditions.

Phone & app
Which phones are supported?

Safety Sam works with most modern iOS and Android smartphones using Bluetooth.
Do I need an internet connection?

No. Bluetooth is used to connect the sensors to your phone. An internet connection is not required for normal use.
